Ink Circles - Hanky Pyansky

This sampler was inspired by the Ukrainian art of pysanky, where beeswax is applied with a fine stylus and multiple layers of dyeing transform a simple egg into a work of art.

224 x 160 stitch count.

The model was stitched on 32 count Black Belfast linen using Carrie’s Threads.  Two separate colorways are suggested: the pinks as shown in the version to the right palettes as well as a rainbow palette.
