Abalone

Abalone utilizes a real shell (included with pattern), which is attached in the centre with a peyote beading stitch. The colours of the design reflect the colours of the shell, working from light to dark. Stitches in the design include a variety of Fleur de Lis, 4-way bargello, Rhodes, Jessicas, crescents and eyelets.

The threads used include Kreinik braid, Dinky Dyes silk, overdyed floss, pearl cotton and beads.
